weenies are known to have health issues just like a lot of other breeds, but they tend to live a long time! this is great news because you know that you’ll have your best friend by your side for a significant amount of time. doxies have even made their breed shine by being in the guinness book of world records MULTIPLE times! an honorable mention we’ll include is a weenie named chanel. she lived till she was 21 years old! that’s 147 in dog years. here’s a pawsome picture of that tenacious pup:

she wore her rad glasses to combat cataracts. even with her struggles, she lived a happy life. for her 21st birthday, she had what every doxie dreams of…a peanut butter-flavored cake. besides us as their owners, I think peanut butter is a weenie’s best friend.

so when you think about getting a doxie, know that they will be your best friend for years to come. weenie dogs are one of life's greatest gifts. they can be stubborn, clever, playful, and above all, super loving. i think many doxie owners can agree, they’re our ride or die. when you have a bad day and come home, you know you’re going to be welcomed with licks of ruv from your favorite hot dog.
